Candy Corn Square 6"
Materials:
Crochet hook size H
Yarn needle
Small amounts of Black, Orange, Yellow and Cream Worsted Weight Yarns.
With Black, Chain 21
Row 1: Sc in the second ch from the hook and on each ch across, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in each ch across row, ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Sc in both loops of the first two sc, then sc in the back loops of the remaining sc to the last two sc, sc in both loops of the last two sc, ch 1, turn.
Row 4: Sc in each sc across row, ch 1, turn
Row 5: Repeat row 4 and stop, do not fasten off you will pickup the black again later.
Candy Corn:
Row 1: Working in the front loops of row 4 join Orange yarn with a sc and sc in each of the front loops across row, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in each sc across row, ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Decrease in the first two sc, sc in the remaining sc across to the last two sc, decrease in the last two sc, ch 1, turn.
Row 4: Repeat Row 2, ch 1, turn.
Row 5: Repeat Row 3, ch 1, turn.
Row 6: Sc in each sc across row, drop orange and pickup yellow, ch1, turn.
Row 7: Sc yellow in each sc across row, ch 1, turn.
Row 8 -12 Repeat rows 3 - 6. Drop yellow pick up cream, ch 1, turn
Row 13: Sc in each sc across row, ch 1, turn.
Row 14-19 Repeat rows 3 - 6 ending with one sc. Hold that one stitch do not fasten off.
Return to row 5 of black, ch 1, turn.
Rows 6-20: Sc in each sc across row, ch 1, turn.
Row 21: Sc in each to center where the top of the candy corn is sc in the back loop then continue to sc in each of the remaining sc across row. Stop. Pick up the last sc of the candy corn and sc in the front loop of the center sc on the row of black. Fasten off the cream and weave ends.
Rows 22-24 With black sc in each sc across row, ch 1, turn. Fasten off at last row and weave ends.
Finishing:
Cut a length of Black yarn about 12" and tack down both sides of the candy corn.
There should be six rows each of orange, yellow, and cream.
This pattern has not been tested so if you find any errors please let me know.
